FAQ

  • What and how should I pay?
    • We accept personal checks, money orders, and cashiers checks. No cash payments are accepted.
    • All  checks should be made out to:
      • Seminole Valley: Seminole Valley LLC
      • Bristol Arms : Bristol Arms Apartments LLC
      • Executive East: Executive East LLC
    • Security Deposit: Your security deposit will be held by the landlord and returned accordingly less costs for damages at the end of your lease. Security deposits may vary based on unit location, size, or style.
    • Rent:
      • Your monthly rent amount will be stated on your lease agreement.
      • Rent payments should be made by the 1st day of the month and can be delivered by placing in the applicable rent drop box (Bristol Arms and Executive East only) or if you live at Seminole Valley they should be mailed to: Seminole Valley LLC, 2506 McDivitt Road, Madison, WI 53713.
    • Additional fees:
      • Cat fees: are $20 for one cat and $30 for two cats per month. Just add this fee to your usual rent.
      • Storage fees: Extra storage (available at Bristol Arms and Executive East only) are $20 per unit per month.
      • Parking fees: Additional vehicle parking is $20 per extra vehicle per month.
    • Utilities: You will be responsible for starting, stopping, and maintaining the utilities in your unit based on your lease agreement. 
    • One Time Fees: Additional one time fees may occur during the length of your lease, including: sublet fees, late rent payment fees, lost key/lock change fees, NSF fees for bounced checks and other potential fines as outlined in your lease. 
  • What is your pet policy?
    • Permitted Pets: We welcome cats, but do not allow dogs or exotic pets. Cats must be spayed or neutered. Qualified service animals are always welcome without a fee. 
    • Number of Pets Permitted Per Apartment: There is a maximum of two cats per apartment. 
    • Pet Fee: There is a $20 monthly charge for one cat or a $30 monthly charge for two cats. We do not require an additional pet deposit for you cat/s.

 

  • Do You Require Renters Insurance?
    • Welch apartments requires that each resident maintain a renters insurance policy throughout the term of their lease.
    • We recommend you contact Jessica at Wisconsin Insurance Services to receive coverage for your apartments using one of the following methods:
  • Move-In Checklist:
    • Fill out an application (all adults age 18 and older must fill out an individual application).
    • Pay your security deposit to take the apartment off the market.
    • Sign lease papers with your apartment manager.
    • Schedule a move-in date with you apartment manager to pay your first months rent and get your keys.
    • Set up all necessary utilities for your apartment in your name starting on your move-in date.
    • Notify the post office of your change in address.
    • Register to vote.
    • Register your children in school.
    • Set up renters insurance for your apartment.
    • Fill out check-in/check-out form and return to management within 7 days (keep back copy for your records!).
    • Move in and enjoy your new apartment home!

 

  •   Move-Out Checklist:
    • Notify your apartment manager with a signed written letter 60 days prior to lease end date that you will be moving.
    • Give your apartment manager your forwarding address.
    • Change the utilities for your unit out of your name as of the last day of your lease.
    • Once you’ve moved out, clean your apartment according to the move-out checklist that you will receive from your apartment manager. 
    • Drop off all of your keys with your apartment manager. 
    • Your security deposit (less any charges for damages) will be mailed to your forwarding address within 21 days of your move-out.
